The Burlytic® System Deburring Process outperforms conventional ECD equipment due to several factors.
First, the voltage we utilize can be applied in carefully timed pulses. Second, our Burlyte® electrolyte has a higher electrical resistance than electrolytes used in other commercial processes. In combination, these features produce a “peak effect” which causes selective dissolution of burrs and sharp edges. The degree of edge rounding and surface roughness reduction can be closely controlled by varying the cycle parameters. The deburring process is regulated enough that control can be fine tuned to a particular processing requirement. And to top it off, our Burlyte® electrolyte is workplace friendly. Traditional ECD systems using salt-based electrolytes just can’t compete with the Burlytic® process!
But how does the Burlytic® process stack up against other traditional deburring methods like tumbling and hand deburring? You’ll find that no other deburring method is as effective for processing difficult parts. Reference the chart below to see just how well this technology competes.
